Crawling with Makuta

The Toa Mistika face their biggest challenge yet (actually their first challenge). three Makuta have come desiring the Mask of Life. They are tough, fast and relatively smart.

Makuta Krika:

Little is known of Krika’s history prior to the invasion of the Universe Core. It is known that when Makuta Teridax revolted against Miserix, the leader of the Brotherhood of Makuta, Krika, along with Icarax, was one of the last Makuta to support Teridax. When Teridax ordered Krika and Spiriah to slay Miserix, Krika instead imprisoned Miserix on Artidax.

Thousands of years later, Krika was one of the Makuta assigned to invade the Core of the Universe. He was the leader of the Makuta in the Swamp of Secrets, and along with the other two, was exposed to the mutagen in the swamp, similar to the pit’s mutagen, which locked him into the insectoid form he had shape-shifted into to blend in with the local wildlife and caused him to lose many of his powers. He found Tahu beside the Codrex after he was thrown back by it’s energy shield. He drained his energy, but fled after Tahu used his last power reserves to heat up the ground beneath him. He has came back to Codrex with his brothers and sister for the final battle against the Toa Nuva.

Krika seemed to have a good idea of what the full extent of the Plan was when he told Gali to leave Karda Nui. He stated that by awakening Mata Nui, the Toa Nuva would be doomed a future more horrible than they can ever imagine but if one Toa Nuva left the Universe Core, that future would not come to pass. He was later driven away by Takanuva.

Makuta Bitil:

Not much is known about his past. Bitil and Gorast were the first to side with Teridax when he took over the Brotherhood of Makuta from Miserix. In The Mutran Chronicles Bitil was the first to notice that every Makuta had evolved. Later, Bitil was one of the Makuta assigned to invade the Swamp of Secrets. He was assigned to the swamp with Krika and Gorast, where he shape-shifted into his current form to blend in with the local Rahi, but was mutated by the Swamp waters, so he could no longer shape-shift and was locked in his current form, and lost a lot of his other abilities. He found Onua in battle with a Nui Kopen and attacked from behind, and shot him with his Nynrah Ghostblaster. He forced Onua to come with him to Krika’s camp, but Onua caused an explosion of mud and escaped. Bitil and Gorast later followed Onua and Gali to the Codrex where they united with Krika and the Phantoka Makuta for the final battle against the Toa Nuva.

Makuta Gorast:

Not much is known about her past exept that after the defeat of the League of Six Kingdoms, she traveled with Mutran to the territory of Kalmah. She and Bitil were the first to side with Teridax after he overthrew Miserix and revealed his plan. On Teridax’s order, Gorast and Icarax hunted down and killed all the Makuta who had initially defended Miserix. She was later sent to Karda Nui to control Mata Nui’s situation, and prevent the creation of anymore Toa of Light by making Av-Matoran into Shadow Matoran. She shape-shifted to blend in with the wildlife of the Swamp, but was mutated by the swamp and could not shape-shift back to her original form, plus, she has had to feed on the light of Rahi, until she found Gali in the swamp. She was about to drain Gali’s light, but was ambushed by Onua, but later followed them to the Codrex, then united with her five brothers for the final battle.

Skyfighter:

The Skyfighter was a vehicle that belonged to Vultraz. Vultraz, who was an engineer, made it with stolen parts. It had an altered Midak Skyblaster that shot bolts of shadow.

Jetrax T6:

The form which Antroz takes on while piloting Jetrax T6.

Jetrax T6 was a vehicle found by Toa Kopaka while inside the Codrex, but was imediately stolen by Makuta Antroz. It, along with Rockoh T3 and Axalara T9, was made by Artakha and placed in Karda Nui sometime before the Toa Mata were created. It was in the Swamp of Secrets.

Of the three T-series vehicles, Jetrax was the fastest.

Makuta comes Soaring

One of the oldest and most powerful organizations in the BIONICLE universe, the Brotherhood of Makuta is made up of shapeshifting scientists and warriors. They have targeted Karda Nui’s Matoran of Light, intending to use their Tridax Pods and shadow leeches to turn the Matoran evil and prevent the creation of any more Toa of Light.

Makuta Antroz:

Antroz was chosen to lead the Phantoka Makuta in Karda Nui and stop Mata Nui’s awakening by turning Av-Matoran into Shadow Matoran. But when he got into the Universe Core he was blinded by the light of the Kanohi Ignika when Matoro put it on and revived Mata Nui. Thus he was forced to turn Radiak, an Av-Matoran, into a Shadow Matoran so he could see through his eyes and share his knowledge.

He and the other Makuta were attacking the Av-Matoran when the Toa Nuva appeared. After being shot by a beam of light from Pohatu’s Midak Skyblaster, the Makuta decided to retreat momentarily to their lair, during which Antroz decided to ask for Icarax’s help. During the final battle in the sky, Antroz’s armor was scratched and his essence began to leak out. Mutran then ordered Antroz and the rest to retreat to the Swamp of Secrets following his Shadow Blast.

In the Swamp of Secrets, Antroz stole a vehicle known as the Jetrax T6 before Kopaka could get to it. He then rammed it into one of the giant lightstones in the Codrex and charged it with an energy older than the stars. He then sped out of the Codrex into the swamp again, flanked by Lewa and Pohatu, Pohatu with a vehicle of his own, Lewa, too, had a vehicle. Antroz ordered Radiak to distract Kopaka, so he could get away more quickly, which he did, until Takanuva offered to deal with him so Kopaka could catch up.

Makuta Vamprah:

Vamprah, a male Makuta, was one of the Phantoka Makuta that tried to conquer Karda Nui, along with Antroz and Chirox. For some reason, Vamprah didn’t speak–he didn’t like any kind of unneccesary noise. He, along with Chirox and Antroz, was blinded by the light from Matoro, when he used the Ignika to save Mata Nui’s life.

Vamprah was the true hunter among the Makuta, who delighted in silently stalking his prey. Even his allies were uncomfortable around him. Thanks to his mask power and his own experiments, he literally fed on the hopes and dreams of others. Vamprah, like all other Makuta, once worked solely on Rahi creation. When Teridax took over the Brotherhood, Vamprah remained silent throughout the meeting, but joined with Teridax in the end.

Vamprah, Antroz, and Chirox were ordered to invade Karda Nui by air in order to control Mata Nui’s situation and prevent the creation of any more Toa of Light by turning the Av-Matoran into Shadow Matoran.

Vamprah drained the light of Radiak, when Matoro entered Karda Nui to use the Ignika. Though he saw Vamprah briefly before dying, he did not know who it was, making him the “winged shape in the waterfall”. Like Antroz and Chirox, Vamprah was permanently blinded by the bright light caused by Matoro when Mata Nui was revived from death. Therefore, the three Makuta chose Shadow Matoran to act as their “eyes,” Vamprah chose Gavla to act as his.

Shortly after, Vamprah and the other Makuta conflicted with the remaining Av-Matoran. During the conflict, Vamprah launched a Tridax Pod, but the Shadow Leeches in it were destroyed by Tanma. The Toa Nuva then appeared and the Makuta momentarily retreated to their lair, discussing their plans.

Later, the Makuta battled with the three Toa Nuva, Kopaka, Pohatu and Lewa. During the battle, Vamprah used his Kanohi Avsa and defeated Kopaka.

Vamprah, along with Antroz and Chirox, arrived at the Shadow Leech Hive just as Kopaka and Solek defeated Mutran. They were able to defeat the Toa and Matoran and capture them.

When Antroz interrogated the Toa, Vamprah and Chirox held the Av-Matoran hostage until Pohatu saved them. The Toa then destroyed the Shadow Leech vats and then ran through Vamprah and Chirox using Pohatu’s Kakama Nuva, causing the two great pain. Afterwards, the hive was destroyed by Toa Ignika.

Shortly after the hive was destroyed, the Makuta regrouped at Antroz’s cavern. Icarax arrived afterwards and the Makuta ventured to the last remaining Av-Matoran village to destroy it, only to find it deserted. Gavla then found two Shadow Matoran bound by Lightvines. They freed the Matoran, and learned from then that the Toa Nuva had ambushed them then fled towards the Makuta’s lair, and Vamprah realized that they were after the third Keystone.

While Vamprah and Galva flew up to the other Makuta, they were ambushed by the Toa Nuva and the Av-Matoran. Vamprah and Gavla became engaged in a battle with Lewa and Tanma, but were interrupted by Vican. Vican delivered Mutran’s message telling the Makuta to retreat to the Swamp of Secrets and regroup. Vamprah grudgingly agreed after Lewa was joined by all of the remaining Av-Matoran

Makuta Chirox:

Chirox was one of the Makuta chosen to invade the Universe Core. When he arrived he was weakened and blinded by the light of the Ignika as it revived Mata Nui. This forced him to turn the leader of the local Av-Matoran, Kirop, into a Shadow Matoran so he could see through Kirop’s eyes and share his knowledge. However, his and the other Makuta’s arrival in the Universe Core caused the Ignika to turn silver. If it were to turn black, it would drain life from all living beings in the Universe, killing them.

During the assault, Chirox was responsible for turning Gavla into a Shadow Matoran. He also wounded Pohatu with a Shadow hand. When the Toa Nuva and their allies attacked the Shadow Leech Hive, Chirox, along with Vamprah and Antroz defeated Kopaka and Solek after they defeated Mutran. After the Makuta were defeated up in the Stalactite Villages, Chirox and the rest of the Makuta saved Mutran and retreated to the Swamp of Secrets.

Makuta Mutran:

Sometime long before the Great Cataclysm, Mutran was sent on a diplomatic mission to Xia. When he left, he accidentally left behind his “favorite sentient rock”, which he had brought with him. When he realized he had forgotten it, he figured it wouldn’t be a problem and so didn’t go back for it. The rock eventually started eating Vortixx and grew into the famous Sentient Mountain.

Later, after the defeat of the League of Six Kingdoms, Mutran and another Makuta, Gorast, were sent to one of Kalmah’s fortresses for clean-up duty. While there, Mutran discovered a carving telling how Kalmah had noticed something odd about some of Mutran’s rahi, the Blade Burrowers. It appeared that the tunnels they dug were not random, but in fact were all of the same pattern, a map. Mutran had no idea what the Burrowers were mapping or why, and was disturbed by it.

While the Matoran war in Metru Nui was going on, Mutran was sent on a mission to meet with a legendary entity called Tren Krom. Upon finding him, Mutran’s mind was probed by Tren Krom. Mutran described the entity’s mind as “as far beyond mine as mine was beyond that of a fireflyer”. Mutran was so horrified by Tren Krom and the experience that he almost wanted to die rather than live with the memory. He eventually blacked out, and when he came around, he realized that he had new knowledge – knowledge that would make Teridax’s schemes of overthrowing the Great Spirit possible.

When Teridax rebelled against Makuta Miserix, Mutran joined him because, having seen Tren Krom’s mind and knowledge, he knew the Plan could work.

Approximately 1,000 years after the Great Cataclysm, Antroz, Chirox, Vamprah, and Mutran were assigned to invade Karda Nui and turn the Av-Matoran there into Shadow Matoran. Along with his Matoran assistant, Vican, Mutran was responsible for breeding the Shadow Leeches, mutated Kraata used to turn ordinary Matoran into Shadow Matoran.

Mutran was ordering Vican to kick a failed experiment out of a window and working on the third batch of a group of experimental Shadow Leeches which is supposed to have a greater light capacity when Vamprah interrupted him. He then proceeded to the main lair of the Makuta in Karda Nui, where he and Chirox were ordered by Antroz to create a creature for Vican to ride on in order to summon Makuta Icarax to Karda Nui.

Later, when the Toa Nuva discovered the location of the Shadow Leech Hive, Mutran attempted to drive the invaders away by casting Lewa, Pohatu, Tanma, Photok, and the Toa Ignika into a vision, causing them to think the hive were long tunnels and the Ignika was a monstrous creature. Mutran then fought against Kopaka and Solek. During the fight, he knocked Solek unconscious and then battled against Kopaka using his mind powers, causing the Toa to hesitate, doubt and fear his own Ice powers. The Makuta increased his mental assault until the Toa collapsed onto the ground. After a moment of jeering, the Makuta prepared to fire a bolt of Shadow to finish the Toa when Solek ran to the Toa and created a shield of Light, reflecting the attack. Kopaka, who had faked his defeat, quickly rose and bound the Makuta in ice and snow. However, the other three Makuta then entered the hive immediately following Mutran’s defeat and quickly defeated the Toa and Matoran.

Later, after he was freed, Mutran and Antroz attempted to turn Lewa into a Toa Nuva of Shadow. However, Pohatu managed to save the Toa and the others and destroyed the Shadow Leech Hive using the Kakama Nuva, Mask of Speed. Angered by the destruction of his creations, Mutran blamed Kirop for leading the Toa to the hive, and attempted to punish him, but was stopped by Antroz.

Icarax arrived shortly afterwards, and all five Makuta assaulted the final standing Av-Matoran village, where they believe the Toa and Matoran were hiding in. To their dismay, the Toa and Matoran were actually in the lair of the Makuta retrieving a Keystone, and they began a raging battle soon afterwards. During the battle, Mutran unleashed an enormous blast of Shadow, and then ordered the other Makuta to retreat down to the Swamp of Secrets. As he was retreating, the Toa surrounded him and forced him to tell them where the other Makuta were heading.

Makuta Icarax:

100,000 years ago, while the Brotherhood of Makuta was still good, Icarax and his assistant, Pridak, were sent to Xia, along with Mutran, to make the Vortixx charge lower prices for their goods by Makuta Miserix. While there, Icarax lost his temper and destroyed several buildings, which made the Vortixx quickly agreed to lower their prices for the Matoran cities they shipped goods to. Upon leaving the island, Mutran realized that he had forgotten his sentient rock, but Icarax just stated that “It’s a rock.” Icarax was also present during a meeting with the League of Six Kingdoms shortly after the League’s formation. After the Metru Nui Civil War, Icarax was then assigned to watch over the realm of Karzahni to keep an eye on the ruler by Miserix.

When Makuta Teridax called for a meeting between the Brotherhood at the Convocation Chamber to reveal his plan to overthrow Mata Nui, Icarax remained silent. Ultimately, he sided with Teridax and later assisted Gorast in executing all the Makuta that had sided with Miserix.

After Teridax failed in his attempt to take control of Metru Nui, Icarax decided to conquer the universe without the plan. He gathered an army of Manas crabs and started conquering several small villages. Before he could do anything more, Teridax defeated him by tiring him out and destroyed his army with his Rahi Control powers turning one half of the army against the other. Teridax did not kill him, however, claiming he still needed his abilities later.

While Teridax was on Voya Nui, he telepathically communicated with Icarax and told him to retrieve the Kanohi Kraahkan from the Silver Sea. Icarax retrieved and wore it. Teridax then instructed Icarax to retrieve the Staff of Artakha, which he did, defeating Onua and revealing himself to the Toa of Earth and stating that the Brotherhood was his now, who then told the other Toa Nuva. He then headed to Karzahni and, because they needed the staff, the Toa Nuva followed him there. Icarax fought and defeated all the Toa Nuva in battle except Gali, who swept him away with a Nova Blast. Afterwards, he managed to travel to Mahri Nui, where he handed over the Staff to Teridax.

After delivering the staff, Icarax returned to Destral, only to be summoned to Karda Nui by Antroz. Although annoyed that Antroz was giving him orders, Icarax complied. Around this time, possibly on the way to Karda Nui, Icarax encountered two members of the Order of Mata Nui: Botar and Trinuma. In a fierce but brief battle, Icarax killed Botar and forced Trinuma to retreat. He also went to Metru Nui and attacked Takanuva with a Shadow Leech, although it was only a partial Light drain. He then went on to Karda Nui. Antroz assigned him to retrieve the Mask of Life, and the five then confronted the Toa Nuva in a fierce battle. During the melee, Icarax fought Toa Ignika and tried to take the Mask of Life. Angered, the Ignika lashed out with its power, painfully devolving Icarax back into a biomechanical form. Icarax then headed for the Swamp of Secrets, as per Mutran’s instructions.

Beware the Barraki

Continuing the Toa Inika/Toa Mahri saga, the Toa meet the Barraki. Evil shark like creatures bent on stealing the mask of life. Again they are led not by a crimson-red armored villain but a whit armored freak!

The Barraki are powerful warlords condemned to the Pit ages ago for daring to rebel against the Great Spirit. After the Great Cataclysm struck and destroyed the inner pit, the Barraki escaped to the Outher pit, where they mutated. They see the Mask of Life as the key to their freedom and will destroy Mahri Nui to get it if they must.

Barraki Pridak:

It is unknown where Pridak came from, or what species he was. He was once employed by the Brotherhood of Makuta to be Makuta Icarax’s aid. He was also a former ruler of the League of the Six Kingdoms and ruled the army to the north. He was the commander that least tolerated failure and disorder, and commanded a lieutenant of his army to order them to kill himself, because three of his soldiers were goofing off.(The soldiers were killed too.) Other then these examples, his army was afraid of him because of his harsh resorts. He commanded many attacks on various cities, and they were all successful. He had an alliance and many pacts with Xia. He and the league attempted an attack on Mata Nui(spirit), but the Brotherhood of Makuta stopped them. They were about to be executed by Teridax himself, when they were taken by Botar into The Pitjail. All of the members, including Pridak, stayed there for a long time until the Great Cactalysm shattered the jail. He and the other members escaped, after being horribly mutated, and called themselves Barraki. Pridak gathered together an army of Takea to replace for his old army. They stayed there for quite some time, until news of a Mask of Life came. The Barraki agreed to do everything they could to get that mask, because if they did, they could become air breathers again. Pridak immediately went to action, and destroyed Defilak’s sub, with Defilak, Sarda, Gar and Idris inside it,though they were not dead. He brought them to a cave to ask them about the Mask of Life, and what they knew about it. When Sarda refused to answer, Pridak showed his harshness by dragging him out of his water bubble and throwing him to his waiting army of Takea(the Matoran did not die from this, however). He then asked Defilak to show him. Gar and Idris swam away to Mahri Nui. However, Defilak delayed, and Pridak was getting angry, when a 300-foot Venom Eel came. Pridak knew that this beast was created from the Mask of Life, and followed its direction. He found Mantax, another Barraki, who told him where it came from, a cave, and that Kalmah, another Barraki, was knocked out from the force of it. They both left to see The Mask of Life. When they got there, Brutaka, as well as the other Barraki, were all there. When Pridak attempted to take Brutaka on, he was defeated. He later woke up and agreed with the others that Brutaka was a phony, and had him taken away by a Giant Squid. Then, all six of them went to confront Dekar, the Matoran with the mask. Pridak took it from him, and was cursed-he now was incredibly overreactional and prone to anger from the least bit of a nuisance. Takadox calmed this down with some hypnotizing powers. He, along with all the other Barraki went to “greet” the Toa Mahri once they found out that the six Toa were coming from theStone Cord. The Barraki captured the Toa Mahri and put them into confined cells, while attending a meeting about who should take the Mask of Life. They eventually came to an agreement-Nocturn, Ehlek’s lieutenant, should take the mask because he was too stupid to do anything with it. However, Pridak soon found out that the Toa Mahri had escaped, and he commanded the Barraki to split up into groups and destroy them. He teamed up with Takadox, and they found Matoro with Maxilos (actually Teridax). They commaned their armies to attack his army of reanimated dead creatures, and there was a tremendous battle. Pridak’s army was starting to win, when Ehlek’s army advanced on Pridak’s. Pridak, currently unaware that the whole thing was caused by a trick from Hewkii, attacked Ehlek’s army, and there was total chaos. The Barraki eventually realized that they had been tricked by the Toa Mahri, and they started to gather up to attack them, when a meeting was called for from Mantax. Pridak attended the meeting, just like all the Barraki, and realized that Mantax had both the Mask of Life and the Betrayal Contract. Mantax had started to give a list of demands when an avalanche fell, causing chaos. Pridak battled the Toa Mahri but the six Toa escaped. However, the Barraki began to gather up their armies to destroy the Toa Mahri when Maxilos interfered, revealing that he was Teridax. Pridak was the most angry, stating that Teridax had ruined their lives enough, without interfering again. However, “Maxilos” simply stated that he was not interfering, and knocked out all six Barraki. However, Maxilos/Makuta had failed to realize one thing-the Barraki’s armies were still at large. They had destroyed Maxilos and left Teridax’s fate unknown by the time Pridak and the others woke up, and Pridak commanded an all-out charge to destroy the Toa Mahri once and for all. They arrived, and began viciously attacking the Toa Mahri, until the Mask of Life teleported them away. Pridak and the other Barraki were last seen attacking each other in anger and frustration.

Barraki Kalmah:

“The silent killer … stronger than he was fast, but was able to glide silently through the water and seize and squeeze prey to death in his tentacle. Five smaller tentacles on the back of his head let him sense motion behind him. Three eyes, but he was blind in one (his top eye) due to a disastrous past encounter with Pridak. Highly intelligent. Bred the sea Squid the Barraki used in their launchers, making sure they were kept half-starved and vicious so they were ready for prey. Led an army of giant Squid.”

Kalmah got sent to the pit because he joined the rebellion against Mata-Nui and was banished to the pit with the other Barraki upon its failure.

He designed the Squid Launcher for himself and the other Barraki, in return for a large realm undersea. A clash began between him and Pridak over how much bigger Kalmah´s territory expanded. Pridak won, and punished Kalmah’s insolence by permanently blinding him in his central eye.

Barraki Takadox:

Takadox was employed by the Brotherhood of Makuta to watch Pridak. Later, he became a member of the League of the Six Kingdoms, controlling the southwestern region of the League’s territory. He hypnotized his army to follow his command, making his army more loyal than any of the other members’. Along with the other members of the League, Takadox plotted to overthrow Mata Nui. However, the League was foiled by Teridax and his army, due to the fact that Takadox secretly betrayed them. Teridax sentenced them to death, however Takadox had a Brotherhood Tablet of Transit and was not going to be harmed. Before the sentence could be carried out, however, Botar came and teleported the League members to The Pit.

When Teridax caused the Great Cataclysm, it destroyed the walls of the Pit Prison. When that was happening, the prisoners escaped and Takadox killed Hydraxon, the jailer.

After the escape of the Barraki, Ehlek built a new stronghold, but it was destroyed in the coming of Mahri Nui.

Hundreds of years later, the Ignika came to the Pit. When the Barraki realized this, Pridak ordered them to find it. Takadox went first to Nocturn, and made sure he would take the mask and hand it over if he saw it. Then Takadox hypnotized Carapar and had him kidnap Kyrehx, the Matoran who found the mask. After Takadox interrogated her, he had Carapar bring her back to Mahri Nui.

Meanwhile, Ehlek’s attempt to get the mask resulted in one of his Venom Eels growing to the size of 300 feet long. Takadox saw it and tried to hypnotize it, but it knocked him unconscious. He awoke to find the Toa Mahri fighting the eel; he watched until Kalmah came and brought him to the cave where the other Barraki were. Takadox then cured Pridak of his madness that came from touching the mask. It was then placed in Pridak’s cave.

After that, he and the others located the Toa Mahri, minus Matoro, at the Fields of Airweed. There, Takadox and the others captured them and put them in separate caves, guarded by members of the Barraki’s armies. Then, with the Mahri handled, the Barraki decided they would place the Ignika in the Razor Whale’s Teeth.

The Barraki then found the Ignika missing from the Razor Whale’s Teeth, so they met at Kalmah’s Sea Squid Cave to decide what to do. After deducing that the Toa had taken the mask (the Toa had disappeared from their prisons), they split up, looking for them. Takadox went with Pridak, finding Matoro and Maxilos. They battled until Ehlek and his army invaded, attacking Pridak and Takadox. This was because Hewkii had tricked Ehlek into thinking that Pridak had ordered his sharks to attack Ehlek’s army. In reality, Hewkii had used his Garai to make some sharks fall on the army.

Meanwhile, Mantax had recovered the mask after battling Hahli and Hydraxon. Mantax had the other Barraki meet him at the Razor Whale’s Teeth. Mantax told them about his hunt for the Brotherhood Tablet of Transit, wanting to know who betrayed the Barraki to the Brotherhood of Makuta. After Mantax informed them about his search, Takadox attacked him, proving that he was the traitor. During the fight, Mantax paralyzed Takadox. When he saw Maxilos, he tried to hypnotize him into killing Mantax. However, Maxilos ignored him. Soon after that, Maxilos/Teridax confronted the Barraki and defeated them, except for Pridak and Takadox, who was in hiding. Takadox then gave his Brotherhood Tablet of Transit to Teridax, trying to gain an ally. After receiving the tablet, Teridax decided to give Takadox a vision, where he had gained control of the Barraki and had returned to land. However, then Takadox’s sea army came to him and swarmed around him in revenge for abandoning them.

When the Barraki confronted the Toa Mahri minus Matoro, who was saving Mata Nui, Takadox (unconscious because of the vision), was being dragged along by Carapar.

Takadox was captured by the Order of Mata Nui to become part of a team searching for Miserix. His teammates were Brutaka, the leader, Roodaka, Vezon, Spiriah, and Carapar. When the team traveled to Stelt, Takadox snuck away onto a ship. He hypnotized the people on the ship and made them jump off, so that the team could use the boat. A few days later, on the boat, Spiriah overthrew Brutaka and took charge of the team. Takadox decided to go along with Spiriah’s leadership, until Brutaka attacked Spiriah and regained the vessel.

When the team landed on the Tren Krom Peninsula, Takadox was given a long thin blade. Shortly after that, the team was captured by Tren Krom. The team talked with him, trying to get out of his cave. Carapar attempted to kill Tren Krom, but winded up getting killed himself. They then escaped from the island on the boat.

A few days later, the team got to Artidax, their destination. After getting through some of the traps, the team came upon a trip wire which Takadox deliberately cut, triggering an avalanche. He then stole the boat and escaped Artidax. Where he is now is unknown.

Barraki Ehlek:

“Ehlek was the only member of the original Barraki alliance who was a native water-breather, from the liquid protodermis sea around the island of Zakaz. After the Great Cataclysm and escape from the Pit, he built a fortress for the Barraki, which was destroyed when Mahri Nui landed on top of it. Ehlek is angry, bitter, and hungry for revenge, almost willing to sacrifice the Mask of Life if it would mean exterminating all Matoran. Although slim and poorly armored, the spines on his back give off electric bolts that can stun or kill. He commands an army of Venom Eels.”

Barraki Carapar:

Carapar was one of the six Barraki warlords, and a member of the League of Six Kingdoms. A ruthless leader, he once ended a battle by surrendering and giving the opposing side a large gift of food supplies. The opposing side ate the food, only to find out it was poisoned.

Carapar was sentenced to the Pit along with the other five Barraki. After the Great Cataclysm, the Pit flooded and exposed Carapar, along withe all the other prisoners, to the mutating waters.

Over the next thousand years Carapar and the other Barraki formed new armies of sea Rahi. When the Barraki’s forrtress was crushed by Mahri Nui the Barraki began to terrorize its Matoran.

Though Carapar absolutely hated Takadox’s habit of hypnotizing him to get anything he needed, he tolerated it, because he knew that Takadox’s cunning could help ensure survival if something bad happend.

Carapar’s intellect was somewhat less then what it was before being mutated, due to centuries of being hypnotized by Takadox. This, however, didn’t mean he was stupid, he just thought slowly.

Carapar has become part of a team consisting also of Brutaka, Vezon, Roodaka, Spiriah and Takadox and Lariska, to search for the original Brotherhood of Makuta leader, Miserix. They eventually found themselves on the island where Tren Krom lived, and were taken prisoner by him. Carapar attempted to strike at Tren Krom by surprise, but the entity saw him and killed him with a beam of power from one of his eyes.

Barraki Mantax:

Mantax was one of the six leaders of the League of Six Kingdoms. He was secretive by nature, and no one except his most trusted servants knew even the least bit about him. He led many attacks with his army, all of them successful. He and the other members of the League, along with their armies, led an attack on the Great Spirit Mata Nui, but were stopped by the Brotherhood of Makuta and were about to be executed when Botar came and transported them to The Pit. Mantax and the other Barraki spent a long time there, until the Great Cactylysm, which shattered the jail, allowing him and the other Barraki to escape. They then roamed around the pit seperatley, though still working together. Mantax formed an army of rays. Their opportunity for revenge came when the Ignika floated down to Mahri Nui. Mantax did not know about this until later, when he was taken by Kalmah to try and stop Dekar, who had the Mask Of Life. They discovered Dekar in a cave, and Kalmah went in close while Mantax waited behind. Then the Ignika created a huge Venom Eel to stop Dekar from destroying it, and it slammed in to Kalmah the force knocking him out. Mantax reported to Pridak what happened, and they both went there to investigate. The other Barraki were there too, as well as Brutaka, but he was taken away by a Giant Squid. Mantax and the others went in and got the mask from Dekar, setting off a bright light that enveloped all of Mahri Nui. Later, when everything was settled, Mantax continued his daily work of looking for the Betrayal Contract that told which Barraki betrayed them to the Brotherhood of Makuta. However, Takadox and Kalmah found out and went to see more, but all three Barraki were found by a group of Zyglak. Luckily, Takadox tricked them and they all got away in time for the arrival of the Toa Mahri. Once they took the Toa Mahri away, they put them in a confined cell, but they all got out. The Barraki came up with a way to solve this problem-to split up and find them. Mantax found Toa Mahri Hahli, and defeated her using stealth and his paralyzing head spikes. Later, Hahli escaped, and fought Mantax again, but this time managing to trick him into thinking that the other Barraki were allying and going against him. This caused Mantax to promote Hahli to his general. Later, Mantax and Hahli went to stop Hydraxon from destroying the Ignika. What followed was a complex battle that left the mask in the claws of Mantax, giving him the power to take away energy from others close to him and give it all to him. He stopped Hahli and Hydraxon by using this power, and told them to get the other Barraki ready for a meeting. He then left and got ready, bringing the Mask Of Life and the Betrayal Contract with him. At the meeting, he told the Barraki about both the Betrayal Contract and the Ignika, and was about to give them a list of demands when an avalanche hit, causing Mantax to dive for cover, only to be stopped by Takadox in the chaos, who announced that he was the betrayer, and that Mantax was about to die. However, Toa Jaller and Toa Matoro arrived and stopped Takadox from killing Mantax. However, this gave Mantax a chance for revenge, and he jabbed his head spikes into the blue Barraki’s abdomen, not killing him, but severly wounding him. But with Takadox out of the way, it was easier for the two Toa Mahri to knock him out. When Mantax, woke up, the Barraki had gathered together for a final attack on the Toa Mahri, but Maxilos/Makuta got in the way, easily defeating the six of them. But their armies had gathered by now, and destroyed Maxilos, with the Makuta of Metru Nui’s fate being unknown. Then, the six Barraki headed for the Toa Mahri. They found them, and commanded their armies to attack with as much force as possible. However, the Toa Mahri were transported away to Metru Nui by the Ignika before the Barraki’s armies could destroy them. In frustration, they all turned on each other. The outcome of this situation is currently unknown.

Prawling Piraka

The Piraka are rogue Dark Hunters who arrived on Voya Nui to search for the Mask of Life. Unlike the other teams of villains and Toa which are leaded by the person in crimson-red armor, this one is led by an emerald-green armored beast.

Piraka Zaktan:

Zaktan was once a Dark Hunter. He was recruited by the Shadowed One while working as a slave in a Protodermis Mine.

5,000 Years Ago: Zaktan leads the others (except for Avak) in an unsuccessful revolt against the Shadowed One. The Shadowed One tried to execute Zaktan by disintegration, but everyone is surprised to see Zaktan survive as a mass of protodites.

250 Years Ago: In the war with the Brotherhood of Makuta; Zaktan, Reidak, and Thok are a few of the Hunters dispatched to guard a base. Thok loots the base, and Zaktan explores it as well, but a tip-off from Roodaka that the base was once the Brotherhood’s encourages Zaktan to take a closer look. What he finds is the Brotherhood’s master plan: schemes, calculations, backup plans, prophesies… Stunned at first, Zaktan vows to use this knowledge to his advantage, and destroys the records before he leaves.

He eventualy decided to go rogue with another 5 of his species: Hakann, Vezok, Reidak, Avak, and Thok.

After Teridax was defeated by Takanuva, rumours began to cuirculate, so Zaktan and the Piraka journeyed to Mangaia, to loot it. They found something interseting: the Spear of Fusion. Due to misuse, it split Vezok in two, the other half named Vezon.

While still in Teridax’s Lair, Zaktan and the other Piraka suddenly gained knowlege of the Mask of Life. They all wondered how this happened, but only Zaktan knew that Makuta’s spirit told them this. Zaktan led the others to the exit, when they were attacked by two Mana Ko. Vezon escapes, and the other piraka find the Toa Mata’s Toa Canisters, and decided to use them to get to Voya Nui,where the mask was. When they arrived, they acted as Toa to fool all but six Matoran.

After their battles with the Toa Nuva and Toa Inika, Zaktan and the other Piraka made their way down the staircase leading to the Ignika, fighting their way past guardians and trails along the way. After arriving in the Mask of Life chamber, they encountered Vezon. when the Inika arrived and began to fight Vezon and Fenrakk, the Piraka woke up and stayed out of the way.

Soon after the Ignika flew out of the chamber and into the sea surrounding the island suface. After the Inika went after it, Zaktan decided the Piraka should lay low for awhile.

Due to the exposure to the Pit Mutagen, Zaktan and the other Piraka became water-breathers and lost their bodies, retaining only their spines and heads. During the Toa Mahri’s journey up The Cord with the Matoran of Mahri Nui, the mutated Piraka ambushed the Toa. Zaktan almost killed Idris but she escaped. The Piraka were then defeated by Axonn and taken away by the Order of Mata Nui for interrogation. Zaktan was taken by Helryx. Helryx then gave Zaktan to the Toa Hagah as a guide to find Teridax.

Piraka Hakann:

7,000 years ago, Vezok and Hakann team up to steal a treasure from a besieged Toa fortress. Vezok has Hakann “distract” (that is, get beat up by) the guards while he goes after the treasure. He finds a tablet labeled “Makoki stone” and realizes it has hidden inscriptions detailing the operations of the Brotherhood of Makuta. After escaping the fortress, both are caught by the Dark Hunter “Ancient” (who also wanted the Makoki stone) and forcibly recruited, joining the other four Skakdi who were already members.

5,000 Years Ago: Zaktan leads Hakann and the others (except for Avak) in an unsuccessful revolt against the Shadowed One. The Shadowed One tries to execute Zaktan by disintegration, but everyone is surprised to see Zaktan survive as a mass of protodites.

3,000 Years Ago: When Thok fails to kidnap Turaga Dume in the latest of a series of failures concerning Metru Nui, the Shadowed One loses patience and has the Dark Hunters invade the city. Though initially successful, hundreds of Toa rally to Metru Nui’s defense. After months of fighting, Hakann watches Toa Nidhiki betray his brothers, and catches Toa Lhikan, also watching. Hakann opts not to warn the other Hunters about Lhikan, as doing so would mean he would be caught and jailed, but instead offers Lhikan a deal: if Lhikan lets the Hunters leave Metru Nui freely after his trap is sprung, he can have the Makoki stone back. Lhikan remembers what other Toa sacrificed for the stone, he agrees; adding the condition that the Hunters must take Nidhiki with them.

He and other five other Skakdi left the Hunters and formed the group called the Piraka, and went to investigate Makuta’s “death”. When they arrived in Mangaia, Hakann found the Spear of Fusion, but accidentaly shot at Vezok while set in reverse, causing him to spilt in two. The second being took the name “Vezon” and claimed the spear. Makuta, now just his floating energy, telephathicly influenced the Piraka to search for the Ignika, Mask of Life, but a pair of Mana-Ko attacked them, among which Vezon abandoned the Piraka. He took a Toa Canister and left Mangaia to Voya Nui. The Piraka arrived on Mata Nui and found the Toa Mata’s canisters and used them to get to Voya Nui (Hakann tried to weld Vezok’s canister shut, but Vezok escaped).

The Piraka arrived on Voya Nui and claimed to be Toa to the Matoran. But after The Voya Nui Resistance Team discovered truth. The Piraka shot all of the Matoran with Antidermis (expect six), and enslaved them. When the Toa Nuva arrived, they engaged in a fierce battle with the Piraka. When all Toa Nuva were defeated, Zaktan ordered to throw them into Mt.Valmai, but it enters an eruption, and the Toa escape. Later, the Toa return with the Matoran resistence, but Brutaka defeat them all, and the Matoran are captured by the Piraka.

A few days after, the Toa Inika arrived, the Matoran were freed, and they invaded the Piraka Strongold, and began to battle. In the midst of the battle, Hakann shot a Zamor at Brutaka and stole his power (with Thok, while he was touching him), and the Toa Inika and remaining Piraka are forced to strike an uneasy alliance to try and depower them.

Meanwhile, the two beings fight each other until the Toa and Piraka caught up with them, and Hewkii was able to fire the Zamor that returns Brutaka’s power to him just as Hakann and Thok lauch a combined attack that knocks everyone out, exept Zaktan (and opened a entrance to the Ignika). They began walk down the staircase to the Chamber of Life. Hakann stopped to relax, but, when the other Piraka encounter him, his heat power has overloaded, causing his armor to melt. Irnakk had encountered them. Zaktak helped the others free from him and they arrived in the Chamber of Life.

They encountured Vezon, who used his Spear to combine Reidak and Vezok into a mostrous being to knock out Hakkan and the other three remaining Piraka. After the Inika defeted Kardas and the Ignika vanished under the sea, the Piraka decided to lay low and strike at just the right moment…

Due to the exposure to the Pit Mutagen, Hakann and the other Piraka became water-breathers and lost their bodies, retaining only their spines and heads. During the Toa Mahri’s journey up The Cord with the Matoran of Mahri Nui, the mutated Piraka ambushed the Toa. Hakann was the first to attack. Later on, however, they, the Toa, and Matoran were knocked unconscious by a blast of electricity produced by Axonn. The Piraka were then taken away by the Order of Mata Nui for interrogation. He and the other piraka will soon be taken to the pit by the bionicle that replaced Botar.

Piraka Thok:

He was recruited into the Dark Hunters when he tried to steal the weapons of three of them that were on a mission. He was described as a loner and very antisocial. He was manipulative, and excellent at turning teammates against each other, and tends to abandon them when things go wrong.

Piraka Vezok:

7,000 years ago, Vezok and Hakann teamed up to steal a treasure from a besieged Toa fortress. Vezok has Hakann “distract” (that is, get beat up by) the guards while he goes after the treasure. He finds a tablet labeled “Makoki stone” and realizes it has hidden inscriptions detailing the operations of the Brotherhood of Makuta. 3,000 Years Ago: Vezok, Reidak and Avak freed the Kanohi Dragon from its icy prison, letting it loose on Metru Nui. They then went to Turaga Dume offering the Hunter’s “protection”. Dume refused, but just as Vezok tries to kill him; Toa Lhikan, Toa Nidhiki, and the rest of their team intervenes.

Later, few months to actual events, he and the other five leave the Hunters and form the group called the Piraka, and go to investigate Makuta’s death, and then arrive in Mangaia. After discovering Makuta’s shattered armor (and Reidak accidentally throwing his Kanohi Kraahkan into the Silver Sea), Hakann found the Spear of Fusion, but accidentaly shot Vezok with it in reverse and split him into two beings. The first was still considered Vezok and the second being took the name “Vezon”, and claims the spear.

A few seconds later, Makuta telephathicly influenced them to search for the Ignika, Mask of Life, but a pair of Mana-Ko attacked them. Vezon escaped and took a Toa Canister and left Mata Nui. The rest soon arrived on Mata Nui’s surface and found the Toa Mata’s Toa Canisters and used them to get to Voya Nui (Hakann tried to sabotage Vezok’s canister, but failed).

When the Piraka arrived on Voya Nui, they began to act like Toa to fool the Matoran, but after six Matoran discovered the truth. At the same time the Piraka began to enslave the island’s Matoran.

When the Toa Nuva arrived, they fought the villans fiercely, but the Toa Nuva were defeated. Zaktan ordered the rest to throw them into Mount Valmai, but it erupted in time, and the Toa escaped. Later, the Toa return with the Matoran resistence, but Brutaka, Zaktan’s new ally, defeat them all, and the Matoran were captured by the Piraka. A short time after, the Toa Inika arrived, the Matoran were freed, and the Toa invaded the Piraka Strongold and began a battle. In the midst of the battle, Hakann shot a Zamor at Brutaka and stole his power (with Thok, while he was touching him), and the Toa Inika and remaining Piraka strike an uneasy alliance to try and depower them.

They started walking down the staircase to the chamber of life, then Hakann stopped to relax. But when Vezok and the other Piraka encounter him, his heat power was oveloaded, causing his armor to melt, caused by fear…

Irnakk had encountered them. Zaktak helped the others free from him and they arrived in the Chamber of Life. They encountured Vezon, who used his Spear to fuse Reidak and Vezok into a mostrous being to knock out Hakann and the other three remaining Piraka. After the Inika defeted Kardas and the Ignika vanished under the sea, the Piraka decided to lay low and strike at just the right moment…

Due to the exposure to the Pit Mutagen, Vezok and the other Piraka became water-breathers and lost their bodies, retaining only their spines and heads. During the Toa Mahri’s journey up The Cord with the Matoran of Mahri Nui, the mutated Piraka ambushed the Toa. However, the Piraka were defeated by Axonn, and were later taken away by the Order of Mata Nui for interrogation.

Piraka Avak:

Avak was origially the target of a Dark Hunter mission. A Hunter had been captured and imprisoned, and Avak was the jailer. Avak was defeated and brought back to the Shadowed One and recruited.

4,000 Years Ago: Vezok, Reidak, and Avak free the Kanohi Dragon from its prison in order to pressure Turaga Dume into allowing a Dark Hunter base in Metru Nui. At Dume’s refusal, Vezok tries to kill him but Toa Lhikan, Toa Nidhiki, and nine other Toa (one of them most likely Tuyet) intervene. With neither side willing to pick a fight at the moment, the Hunters leave and let the Toa deal with the dragon.

Zaktan eventualy decided to go rouge with another 5 of his species: Hakann, Vezok, Reidak, Avak, and Thok.

The Piraka were later taken away by the Order of Mata Nui for interrogation.

Piraka Reidak:

Reidak was recruited to the Dark Hunters when a dispute with the law on his home island of Zakaz escalated to the point that the entire city was wiped out.

5,000 Years Ago: Zaktan leads Reidak and the others (except for Avak) in an unsuccessful revolt against the Shadowed One. The Shadowed One tries to execute Zaktan by disintegration, but everyone is surprised to see Zaktan survive as a mass of Protodites.

Vezon escapes, and the other Piraka find the Toa Mata’s Toa Canisters, and decided to use them to get to Voya Nui, where the mask was. When they arrived, they acted as Toa to fool all but six Matoran. For some weird reason, Reidak slipped and fell 500 feet and landed head first. All it did was make him angry.

After their battles with the Toa Nuva and Toa Inika, Reidak and the other Piraka made their way down the staircase leading to the Ignika, fighting their way past guardians and trails along the way. After arriving in the Mask of Life chamber, they encountered Vezon. When the Inika arrived and began to fight Vezon and Fenrakk, the Piraka woke up and stayed out of the way.

The Piraka were later taken away by the Order of Mata Nui for interrogation.

Piraka Vezon:

When the Piraka were investigating Makuta’s lair, Hakann found the Spear of Fusion and accidentally shot Vezok with it set in reverse. The result was that a second being was split off from Vezok, one that had Vezok’s intellectual capabilities (though it seems Vezok kept everything else, including his sanity). Thok called the new being a “Vezon” – a double – and the being felt the name was agreeable. Vezon took the Spear of Fusion for himself just before the Piraka gained the knowledge of the Ignika Mask of Life. As the group was attacked by a pair of Mana-Ko shortly afterward, Vezon slipped away and headed directly for Voya Nui. Vezon’s canister came from an Order of Mata Nui Member that came to Mata Nui shortly after the Matoran did, and the member was killed by Teridax.

Upon arriving on the island, the Mask of Life allowed Vezon to reach it. Once he did, he became cursed; fused somehow to a Fenrakk spider and forcibly made one of the Ignika’s guardians. Weeks afterword, the Piraka made their way down to the Mask of Life chamber and were defeated by Vezon. Moments after, the Inika arrived and battled Vezon and Fenrakk. At one point Vezon urged Fenrakk to fall into lava. They emerged as Vezon and Kardas.

Eventually, the Inika manged to defeat Vezon and Kardas, and remove the Mask of Life. However the Kardas Dragon managed to knock the Kanohi out of Matoro’s hand. the Ignika then flew to the surface.

After the Ignika was removed, Vezon was defused from Kardas and the two went their seperate ways. Vezon, with the rebuilt Spear of Fusion (Reidak broke it earlier), decided to get his revenge on the Toa Inika. While the Inika were going down to Mahri Nui, Vezon tried to , but instead was taken captive by the Zyglak. Vezon escaped the Zyglak with the help of the Order of Mata Nui, and joined a team fighting the Brotherhood of Makuta to pay his debt. The team consist of the ex-Order of Mata Nui member Brutaka (as the leader), Roodaka, Takadox, Carapar, the renegade Makuta Spiriah, and himself. Though Vezon had no dealings with the Brotherhood of Makuta and has no powers, Vezon was the team’s wild card. After finding Makuta Miserix, Vezon was imprisoned by the Order. He was then freed by Trinuma.

Visorak Leaders

The Visorak are not only working by themselves but they have a king and queen. How’s that for a stupid swarm of spiders.

Sidorak:

Sidorak in Web of Shadows.Sidorak with Roodaka.Sidorak as a set.

His method of claiming credit attracted the attention of the Brotherhood of Makuta, who recruited him into their ranks, and he quickly rose to power. At first, Sidorak was a simple courier between the Brotherhood of Makuta and the island of Xia, and it was during this job that he and Roodaka first met. Eventually, Teridax made Sidorak a lieutenant, with Roodaka. These two constantly feuded for Teridax’s favor, however, Sidorak hoped to forge an alliance with Roodaka, which she agreed to later on, although secretly planned to have him killed before it would come to pass. Once the Toa Hagah were transformed into Rahaga, after their rebellion, Sidorak took credit for the idea, which had actually been Roodaka’s. Teridax, in turn, made him King of the Visorak Horde, with Roodaka as his viceroy. Although he lead the Visorak to victory on many occasions, Sidorak still was insecure about his position as their leader. The Visorak didn’t notice this, but Roodaka did.

When Sidorak and Roodaka invaded Metru Nui, they took the Coliseum as their main base. When the Visorak reported that the Toa Metru were captured, Sidorak ordered them to be killed. When the Visorak who reported the news wanted to leave, Roodaka stopped the Visorak and advised Sidorak to make their death more “legendary.” Sidorak agreed, calling instead for a mutation and disposal of the Toa.

When Matau and Iruini were in a hangar looking for Airship parts, Sidorak attacked the hangar with an army of Visorak. Sidorak was giving orders from a tower in Le-Metru to the Visorak. Later, Bomonga and Whenua escaped the Field of Shadows and were captured by Sidorak. Sidorak then ordered the Zivon to be unleashed. During the ensuing fight, Sidorak left the tower, fleeing from the Toa Hordika, and retreated to the Coliseum.

Later, when Vakama betrayed his fellow Toa Hordika, he approached the Coliseum and banged on its doors to gain entrance. Sidorak spoke to him via speakers, but refused to believe Vakama had truly come to join him. He permitted him, however, when Vakama presented five of the Rahaga he had captured for him.

Shortly afterwards, Roodaka proposed that Vakama was a fitting master for the Visorak horde, but Sidorak refused. Roodaka, already prepared for such an answer, insisted it would be an engagement gift. Presented with the possibility of gaining influence on Xia through their alliance, Sidorak agreed and made Vakama a commander of the Visorak.

When the remaining Toa Hordika, along with Rahaga Norik and Keetongu, attacked the Coliseum, Sidorak was confronted by Keetongu scaling the walls of the building. He attempted to blast him off, but missed repeatedly. After Roodaka managed to knock Keetongu off, she tricked Sidorak into following her to make sure that the Rahi was dead. When they arrived, Roodaka left Sidorak alone with Keetongu, who had survived the fall. Sidorak was then brutally crushed under Keetongu’s fists and killed.

Roodaka:

Roodaka in Web of Shadows.Roodaka influencing Vakama's defection.Roodaka in set form.

Roodaka eventually became affiliated with the Brotherhood of Makuta. Sidorak named Roodaka as Viceroy of the Visorak, with hopes that she would become Queen, as he would gain status in Xia. When the Toa Hagah invaded Destral to retrieve the Kanohi Avohkii, Roodaka mutated them into monstrous Rahaga, but they managed to escape nonetheless.

When the Visorak invaded Metru Nui, Roodaka carved a piece of the Toa Seal around Teridax so as to later free him. Roodaka also stumbled upon Avak’s plans for the Impact Crystal Launcher, and sent these blueprints to Xia to be examined.

When the Visorak reported that the Toa Metru were captured, Sidorak ordered them to be killed. Roodaka told him otherwise and advised to make it more “legendary.” Sidorak then had the Toa mutated, with the intent of killing them afterwards. Roodaka and Sidorak were both watching as the Toa were mutating into Toa Hordika, and then fell from high atop the Coliseum.

While reflecting on recent events and her desire to free Teridax, Roodaka placed the stone she had carved from his prison in her breastplate. When a Visorak entered the chamber she was in with news of the Toa’s survival, and realized that the Rahaga had saved them.

Roodaka later battled Krahka and defeated her. She then ordered Krahka to place false evidence across Metru Nui implying that the Toa Metru were not destined to be Toa. She also gave Sidorak the advice to unleash the Zivon into the city.

When Vakama was caught by Boggarak and tied by their webbing, Roodaka entered the room were Vakama was contained. Roodaka convinced Vakama to listen to her proposal, and she then escored him to the ruins of Ta-Metru. Whilst walking, she explained to him her disgust with Sidorak and her desire to have Vakama lead the Visorak horde. When Vakama later captured five of the Rahaga, he went to confront Sidorak, and informed him that he wished to join. After laughing at the request, Sidorak relented and agreed after Vakama presented the Rahaga.

Roodaka then took Vakama into Turaga Dume’s former inner chambers inside the Coliseum, and they were soon after joined by Sidorak. Roodaka then proposed Vakama as her gift to Sidorak, a fitting master for the horde. Sidorak initially refused, but accepted it when Roodaka claimed him to be an engagement gift.

When the Toa Hordika and Rahaga Norik attacked the Coliseum, Roodaka ordered the Visorak to attack them. Then, she, Sidorak, and Vakama heard a strange sound, and Sidorak grew uncomforted. Looking over the side of the observation platform, they saw Keetongu climbing the wall of the Coliseum. Shocked in disbelief, Sidorak and Roodaka went to finish Keetongu off.

When Sidorak missed Keetongu with his blasts, Roodaka fired and hit Keetongu, whom then began falling down toward the battlefield. Roodaka then took Sidorak down towards the battlefield to see if he ws really dead. While they observed his battered body, they found him to be alive. Sidorak ordered Roodaka to kill the Rahi, but she refused and walked away. Keetongu then killed Sidorak, and Roodaka became the Queen of the Visorak.

She then confronted the Rahaga and Toa Hordika while riding a Kahgarak. She then dismounted and demanded the Elemental Powers of the Toa. Convinced that Vakama was on her side, the other Toa Hordika fired their Rothuka her, but it had little effect on Roodaka. When she threatened to fire blast of Shadow energy at the Toa, Vakama began charging his Rhotuka and aimed at Roodaka. Surpised, Roodaka tried to dissuade Vakama from attacking by reminding him that she was in control of the Visorak, but Vakama then ordered the Visorak to disperse and be free. Vakama then fired his Rhotuka at Roodaka and she fell unconscious, but the blast had actually just freed Terdiax from his prison due to the connection the stone fragment in her breastplate had to it. In gratitude, the Makuta teleported Roodaka to safety.

Rumors say that some time after the Great Rescue, she went back to Xia to climb The Mountain a second time to test her cunning.

Roodaka secretly worked for both sides of the Dark Hunter/Brotherhood of Makuta War that erupted when The Shadowed One learned that Teridax had killed two of his operatives. 250 years ago, she passed along some information to Piraka Zaktan as to forewarn him of a Brotherhood of Makuta attack on a Brotherhood base the Dark Hunters had taken over.

At some point, she met (and was nearly killed by) a group of Dark Hunters, who managed to “convince” her to go and see The Shadowed One for a talk about her allegiance. However, The Shadowed One had caught on to her treachery and had made a deal with the Toa Nuva to eliminate her, but the Toa betrayed him. Warning her that the Hunters were out to kill her and the Brotherhood wouldn’t be far behind, they blackmailed Roodaka into reversing her mutation of the Rahaga. Toa Hagah once more, they then took Roodaka into their custody.

Roaming with the Rahkshi

Although it is a bit late but the Rahkshi are actually the enemies of the Toa Nuva.I just temporairilly forgot about them. Rahkshi are “sons” of Makuta. These small serpent-like creatures use a powerful exo-skeleton to enforce Makuta’s will.

Rahkshi Turahk:

Turahk in Mask of Light.Turahk as set.

Turahk are the Rahkshi of Fear.

Turahk are created from Kraata-Za that are dipped into Energized Protodermis. A second Kraata-Za is then needed to run the Rahkshi armor that is created.

When Makuta Teridax’s initial strike force of three Rahkshi was defeated by Kopaka, Teridax unleashed an additional team of Rahkshi, one of which was a Turahk. The three Rahkshi surfaced at the center of Onu-Koro, and the Turahk promptly defeated Pohatu by using his own fears against him. The Turahk then came very near to capturing Takua before being stopped by Pohatu and Onua.

When the six Rahkshi cornered Kopaka, it was the Turahk that struck second, enveloping the Toa Nuva with his own fear of failure. However, Kopaka snapped out of the trance and flash-froze the Rahkshi.

Later, the Turahk, along with the other five Rahkshi, cornered Takua, Jaller, and Pewku in the Kini-Nui, only to encounter the Toa Nuva. While attempting to drain the energy of Lewa and Pohatu, the Rahkshi Vorahk accidentally struck the Turahk with its staff, draining its energy instead. As the Turahk was defeated, the Toa Nuva turned their attention to the other Rahkshi. None of the Toa noticed energy flowing back into Turahk and the Rahkshi heading for Takua and Jaller.

Throwing Pewku aside, Turahk trapped Takua in a wall of terror. The Rahkshi swung his staff at the helpless Matoran, only to be intercepted by Jaller, who was killed by the energy blast. Turahk was grabbed by Pohatu and Gali, but shook them off and came for Takua yet again, but Jaller’s sacrifice allowed Takua to don the Avohkii Mask of Light and transform into Takanuva, freezing the Turahk in its tracks with Light energy. Turahk’s and the other Rahkshi’s armors were subsequently dismantled and used to make the Ussanui.

Roughly a month later, after the Matoran had returned to Metru Nui, Jaller (who had been brought back to life by Takutanuva) led a team of Matoran to the realm of Karzahni. There, in an effort to force Jaller to remove his Kanohi mask, Karzahni showed Jaller a vision of what would have happened if he had not sacrificed his life to save Takua. Later, in the Zone of Nightmares under the island of Voya Nui, the Ignika created a Turahk out of Toa Inika Jaller’s memories and fears. Remembering the damage suffered by the island of Mata Nui at the hands of the Rahkshi, Jaller overcame his fear of Turahk and attacked, only to accidentally kill the Kraata inside. The Turahk then turned into Tahu Nuva, struck down by Jaller. Regardless, Jaller rallied the Toa Inika onward, whereupon the “Toa Nuva” vanished and were revealed to be an illusion.

Rahkshi Kurakh:

Kurahk in Mask of Light.Kurahk screeching at Takua.Kurahk as a set.

Kurahk are the Rahkshi of Anger.

Kurahk are created by a Makuta by immersing a Kraata-Cu into Energized Protodermis. However, the armor can do nothing on its own, and requires a second Kraata-Cu to run it.

Makuta Teridax created six Rahkshi in his lair, Mangaia, in the event that they may be needed. He stored them in large green vats inside his lair. When he heard of the Avohkii’s discovery, he placed a Kraata in the Vorahk’s, Kurahk’s, and Turahk’s Rahkshi armor. He then sent them out to defeat the Toa Nuva and prevent Takua from becoming a Toa of Light. The three Rahkshi attacked Onu-Koro, where the Kurahk was able to enrage Tahu into attacking Gali. Onua later caved-in Onu-Koro, seemingly burying the Rahkshi.

They survived, however, and managed to return to the surface. Kurahk then joined the ambush against Kopaka Nuva, and attempted to make the newly-arrived Toa Tahu, Gali, and Lewa fight amongst themselves with its power, but Lewa blew its Staff of Anger tool out of its hands, with Gali blasting it with high-pressured water.

This Kurahk was later defeated by the combined might of the Toa Nuva in a battle at Kini-Nui. It was frozen by Kopaka after being injured from a ball of lava released by Tahu and Onua. Its armor was later dismantled along with the other five Rahkshi to create the Ussanui.

Rahkshi Guurahk:

The Guurahk as seen in Mask of Light. The Guurahk set.

Guurahk are the Rahkshi of Disintegration.

A Guurahk is created by first exposing a Kraata-Ul to Energized Protodermis. The Kraata then transforms into a Rahkshi. However, the Rahkshi armor can do nothing on its own, and requires an additional Kraata-Ul of the same level to operate.

There was a Guurahk kept in the archives that once escaped. This Rahkshi, along with every other Rahkshi on Metru Nui, was aged to it’s death by Voporak.

The Makuta Teridax created a Guurahk, along with a Turahk, Panrahk, Lerahk, Kurahk, and Vorahk, and placed them in large green vats in his lair, Mangaia. When he learned that the Avohkii had been discovered, he placed a Kraata in the Panrahk’s, Guurahk’s, and Lerahk’s Rahkshi armor and sent them out to retrieve the mask. They emerged from Mangaia, attacking Gali Nuva, who promptly escaped. They then arrived in Ta-Koro, pursuing Takua, and destroyed the village in the process. While in Ta-Koro, Hahli was saved by Gali from the Guurahk.

Later, the Rahkshi engaged in another fight against the Toa Nuva Tahu, Gali and Lewa, where Guurahk made Gali almost fall into a crevasse it made with it’s disintegration powers. It was going to kill her, but Lewa saved Gali and made Guurahk crash into the battle between Tahu and Lerahk. They then trapped the Toa Nuva under rocks that were poisoned by Lerahk. Guurahk was also responsible for trapping Onua, Pohatu and Whenua inside the Kraata cave.

Guurahk then chased Takua and Jaller into Ko-Koro, where it was frozen by Kopaka. Guurahk was freed later, and joined the attack on Kopaka, where it aided the other Rahkshi in escaping after Tahu, Lewa and Gali Nuva showed up to help Kopaka. Guurahk and it’s brothers then chased Takua, trying to impede on the Toa Nuva’s progress, and got there for the final battle.

Later, in the final battle between the Rahkshi and Toa Nuva at Kini-Nui, Guurahk made a combined attack with Lerahk and Panrahk against the Toa Nuva. Tahu’s Hau Nuva blocked the attack, then Lewa created a sand cyclone to trap Guurahk, Panrahk, and Lerahk. Tahu then blasted fire at the tornado to seal the Rahkshi in a glass prison. Guurahk’s armor was then dismantled along with the other five Rahkshi’s to build the Ussanui.

Rahkshi Lerakh:

Lerahk, as seen in Mask of Light.Lerahk as a set.The Final Chronicle.

Lerahk are the Rahkshi of Poison.

When a Kraata-Ye is immersed in Energized Protodermis, the Lerahk armor is created. However, the Rahkshi armor can do nothing on its own, requiring another Kraata-Ye to be placed inside to control it.

Makuta Teridax created six Rahkshi and placed them in large green pillars in his lair, Mangaia. Upon learning that the Avohkii had been discovered, Teridax placed a Kraata in a Lerahk’s, Guurahk’s, and Panrahk’s Rahkshi armor, ordering them to go after Takua and take the Avohkii.

During Rahkshi’s attack on Ta-Koro, the Lerahk encountered Turaga Vakama, until Tahu recovered from being blasted through the wall and came to fight the Rahkshi, where it poisoned Tahu, and was responsible, along with the Panrahk and Guurahk, for the destruction of the village. After chasing Takua, the three Rahkshi got into a fight with Toa Nuva Tahu, Gali and Lewa, with Lerahk poisoning a cliff side that Tahu was standing on into dust, and attempting to finish the Toa off, plunged his staff at him, but Tahu dodged the attack and began to fight him. Their battle was only interrupted by Lewa and Guurahk crashing into them. Lerahk then poisoned the ground around the Toa Nuva to imprison them under a cliff, before attack the rocks above to bring them tumbling down upon the Toa.

The three Rahkshi followed Takua to Ko-Wahi, where they were frozen inside a lake by Kopaka.

After they broke out of the ice, the Rahkshi ambushed Kopaka, who had turned up for a meeting. Lerahk attacked first, but was frozen before he reached Kopaka. Lerahk then escaped with the other Rahkshi after they created a distraction.

Lerahk and the other Rahkshi then tracked Takua to Kini-Nui. During the following battle against the Toa Nuva, Lerahk was imprisoned in glass by Lewa and Tahu Nuva. Its armor was later dismantled to construct the Ussanui.

Rahkshi Panrahk:

Panrahk in Mask of Light.Panrahk revealing its Kraata.Panrahk as a set.

Panrahk are the Rahkshi of Fragmentation.

The Panrahk that struck the island of Mata Nui was created when Teridax immersed a Kraata-Xi into Energized Protodermis. The Kraata transformed over time into a Rahkshi. However, the Rahkshi armor could do nothing on its own, thus Teridax stored it in a large green pillar in his lair, Mangaia, along with Turahk, Guurahk, Lerahk, Kurahk, and Vorahk.

When Teridax heard of the Mask of Light’s discovery, he placed Kraata in the Panrahk’s, Guurahk’s, and Lerahk’s Rahkshi armor, giving them life and will, and he sent them to kill Takua, the one who would become the Seventh Toa. Panrahk and the other Rahkshi, Lerahk and Guurahk, broke out from Kini-Nui and attacked Gali Nuva, but she escaped. The Rahkshi then headed to Ta Koro, where it blasted Tahu through a wall. Panrahk was responsible, along with the Lerahk and Guurahk, for the destruction of Ta-Koro. They then chased after Takua, only to wind up in a fight with Toa Tahu, Gali and Lewa. It helped to trap the Toa Nuva inside an avalanche before continuing the chase, being responsible for sealing Onua, Pohatu and Whenua inside a cave full of Kraata, before traveling to Ko-Wahi with the other Rahkshi to find Takua. There they faced and knocked down Kopaka, but when they were about to grab Takua the Toa of Ice made them fall to the water and then froze the lake.

Teridax, sensing that his three “sons” were defeated, sent three more Rahkshi: Turahk, Vorahk and Kurahk, to go free them.

Panrahk later assisted in the ambush against Kopaka Nuva, by creating a diversion along with Guurahk so the Rahkshi could escape.

Panrahk, along with the other Rahkshi, fought the Toa Nuva at the Battle for the Mask of Light in Kini-Nui. It was captured inside a glass prison by Tahu Nuva and Lewa Nuva. Its armor was then dismantled along the other five Rahkshi’s to build the Ussanui.

Rahkshi Vorahk:

Vorahk in Mask of Light.Vorahk as set.

Vorahk are Rahkshi of Hunger.

Vorahk are created when a Kraata-Vo is immersed in Energized Protodermis. The Kraata then transforms into an unliving Rahkshi armor that requires another Kraata-Vo to be placed inside it to function.

On Mata Nui, Teridax created several Rahkshi. After creation, he placed the suits into stasis, waiting for the time when they would be needed. After the Toa Nuva’s triumph over the Bohrok-Kal, he summoned three Rahkshi to find the Mask of Light, and steal it. However, the Toa Nuva soon defeated these creatures, prompting Teridax to awaken his other three Rahkshi, whom among was a Vorahk.

After Vorahk’s creation, he was tasked to find the Herald of the seventh Toa, in order to stop the Toa from coming into being. During his mission, Vorahk encountered Toa Kopaka during which was supposed to be a meeting. Alone, Kopaka fought the six Rahkshi, and fought Vorahk during the battle. Due to Vorahk’s powers, Kopaka was quickly weakened, and faced death. Before that could happen, however, Tahu, Gali, and Lewa arrived, and saved him. The Vorahk fought back against the Toa, but, when the tide of battle turned, he escaped. Soon after the battle, all the Toa Nuva were reunited, and vowed to stop the Rahkshi wherever they posed a threat.

Vorahk’s mission took him to Onu-Koro, where he sensed Takua, the Herald, was at. He and his team broke into the village, and began looking for him. Onua and Pohatu were there speaking to the Matoran at the time, so they began fighting back against the creatures. Onua jumped forward to fight Vorahk, and soon got his energy drained. As he fell to the ground, Vorahk continued on his search. While Takua escaped, the other Toa Nuva arrived, and defeated the Rahkshi, pinning them under boulders.

The Rahkshi soon freed themselves, and united at the Kini-Nui, where they planned to capture Takua and Jaller. As they moved menacingly towards the two Matoran, the six Toa quickly traveled there, and mounted a final defense. Through much effort, the Toa managed to destroy the Rahkshi, and trapped Kurahk and Vorahk in an elemental prison, ending their threat.

When Toa Vakama returned to Metru Nui in his search for the Vahi, Teridax conjured an illusion to trick him. The Makuta made a Boggarak play Nokama in this illusion. This Boggarak was later used by Teridax to distract Voporak, who merely aged the Visorak to dust.

Recently, the Boggarak and the other Visorak have begun to come to the island of Artidax, where the Heart of the Visorak is located.

Vahki Squad

The Vahki are mechanical guardians designed by Nuparu to serve as law enforcers on Metru Nui, but they are sometimes too enthusiastic in maintaining order. They were under direct command of Turaga Dume. Soon they became hostile and hunted the Toa Metru. They were soon destroyed when the Visorak overran Metru Nui.

Vahki Nuurakh:

Vahki Nuurakh in the Vahki Promo Animation.Nuurakh in set form.Nuurakh in the Vahki Online Animations.

When the Toa Metru Vakama and Onewa were sent crashing down into a Fire Pit by Nidhiki, Vakama managed to contain the fire in the pit whilst Onewa distracted the Nuurakh, which were guarding the region.

Much later, Matau, Nokama and Vakama encountered the Nuurakh in a cargo Airship in Le-Metru. At first, the Toa had not realized the presence of the Vahki, but was soon attacked by them. The Vahki were quickly defeated by the Toa.

Very soon after, some Nuurakh flew to the scene where the three Toa were fighting against the Tahtorak, and were rapidly crushed by the Tahtorak.

After the Visorak had taken over Metru Nui, and the Toa Metru returned to the city to rescue the Matoran, the group of Toa encountered three Nuurakh alongside three Keerakh. Matau attempted to deceive them by using his Kanohi Mahiki to disguise himself as a Rorzakh, then weaving a story stating that the Toa had escaped to Ta-Metru. However, the group of Vahki seen Matau as a malfunctioning unit for letting the Toa “escape”, and prepared to assault Matau. Luckily, the group of Vahki were suddenly distracted by an attack from a Visorak, which used its Rhotuka to shred their tools in half. Matau, using the distraction, escaped the scene.

Vahki Keerakh:

Vahki Keerakh in the Vahki Promo Animation.Keerakh in set form.

When Nuju and Whenua, along with Ehrye and Tehutti journeyed to Ko-Metru, they encountered a group of Keerakh. Tehutti was struck by one of the Keerakh, causing him to lose all sense of time and space, and thus the Toa left the two Matoran behind as they searched for the Ko-Metru Great Disk. On their quest, they encountered three Keerakh, who predicted the Toa’s paths and got there before them. Nuju used Whenua as a bait, luring the Keerakh over, and then freezing them to form a bridge. After crossing it, more Keerakh arrived and some gave chase after the Toa whilst some remained behind to destroy the bridge.

Instead of fighting, however, Nuju used the Keerakh’s predicting abilities to his advantage. He knew that the Keerakh were after them, and since they were headed for the Great Disk, the Vahki would go straight there. So, he followed the squad “chasing” them, and the Keerakh led them straight to the Knowledge Tower where the Great Disk was hidden.

After the Visorak had taken over Metru Nui, and the Toa Metru returned to the city to rescue the Matoran, the group of Toa encountered three Keerakh alongside three Nuurakh. Matau attempted to deceive them by using his Kanohi Mahiki to disguise himself as a Rorzakh, then weaving a story stating that the Toa had escaped to Ta-Metru. However, the group of Vahki saw Matau as a malfunctioning unit for letting the Toa “escape”, and prepared to assault Matau. Luckily, the group of Vahki were suddenly distracted by an attack from a Visorak, which used its Rhotuka to shred their tools in half. Matau, using the distraction, escaped the scene.

Vahki Bordakh:

Vahki Bordakh summoning a Kanoka in the Vahki Promo Animation.Bordakh in set form.Bordakh in the Vahki Online Animations.

When Toa Metru Nokama went to Vhisola’s house to search for the missing Matoran, a Ga-Matoran informed a squad of Bordakh about the mysterious Toa, and the Bordakh decided to capture her to find out whether she was a friend of foe. Nokama decided to leave the squad behind, but returned later to find the squad still standing by outside Vhisola’s house. The Toa of Water used water as distraction, and managed to get into the house without raising alert.

Later, Nokama, along with Matau, Vhisola and Orkahm, journeyed to the main section of Ga-Metru where they found several Matoran which were enslaved by the Bordakh’s powers. Matau quickly distracted them by flying away. The group then reunited, and journeyed to the Great Temple, where Nokama dove into the waters below to retrieve the Ga-Metru Great Disk. The remaining group, however, was attacked by the Bordakh, but was then defeated after the Dweller in the Deep crashed into them while chasing Nokama, who had retrieved the Great Disk from the creature’s mouth.

Vakama, Onewa, Nuhrii and Ahkmou later encountered the Bordakh as well whilst journeying to the Great Temple. The group used Nuhrii to distract them, having the Matoran tell the Vahki that the Toa Metru were elsewhere causing trouble.

The Bordakh encountered the Toa yet again, except this time the Toa were fleeing from the Coliseum and boarded a Chute to Ga-Metru. The Bordakh realized that the Toa had left the Coliseum, and cornered the Toa on top of a Chute support tower. A Bordakh used its powers on Nokama, turning her into a tool of the Vahki. The enslaved Nokama then pushed Vakama off the tower, but Vakama was able to fly back up using his launcher’s powers. The Toa of Fire fired two Kanoka disks of Shrinking and defeated the Bordakh, thus freeing Nokama.

Much later, the Toa encountered the Bordakh once more, although this time as a reunited team. The entire group of Toa Metru was fleeing to the Great Temple from the Coliseum after it was revealed that the Makuta Teridax was impersonating Turaga Dume.

All the Bordakh were destroyed during the Visorak’s occupation of Metru Nui.

Vahki Vorzakh:

Vorzakh jumping on a cargo loader in Le-Metru.The Vorzakh set.

When Toa Metru Vakama, Nokama and Matau fled from the Coliseum, a group of Vorzakh demolished a part of a Chute which the Toa were journeying in. However, the Toa managed to escape.

Vorzakh were an example of an idea that didn’t quite work out. Given the fact that Le-Metru was a very crowded district, with many Chutes, cables, vehicles, and other things that could get in the way of pursuit, the Vorzakh were designed to be able to go over or around most obstacles with ease. Unfortunately, the Vorzakh discovered that going through was much more efficient. They never ceased to be the most destructive of all the Vahki, perfectly willing to level a building in order to catch a Matoran hiding inside. The chase was not a game to them, just a job, and they spent as little time as possible on it. Anything that got in between them and their target was destroyed. As a result, most of the repair work Le-Matoran did in Le-Metru was cleaning up the aftermath of Vorzakh chases.

Vahki Zadakh:

Zadakh as seen in Legends of Metru Nui.Vahki Zadakh in the Vahki Promo Animation. The Zadakh set.Zadakh in the Vahki Online Animations.

The Zadakh were used to defend the Dark Hunter Prison. Toa Metru Vakama, Nokama and Matau encountered the army of Zadakh whilst attempting to rescue Lhikan and their other comrades, Whenua, Nuju and Onewa. The Toa fought against the Vahki with a horde of Kikanalo, during which Nokama and her Kikanalo steed tricked a large group of Vahki into falling off a cliff, and Vakama and his group of Kikanalo defeated the Vahki using the Rahi’s powerful roar.

Later, after the Visorak invasion, a group of four Zadakh journeyed to Ta-Metru. Despite being the enforcers of Po-Metru, the Visorak invasion, Great Cataclysm and the destruction of many Vahki caused the Zadakh to expand their range of enforcement. The small group of Zadakh encountered the Visorak, and three of them were quickly defeated by the Boggarak. The remaining Vahki, the lead, decided to flee and return to the Vahki Hives in order to ask for re-enforcement. The Vahki, however, was accidentally destroyed by the Tahtorak as it journeyed through the city.

Vahki Rozakh:

Vahki Rorzakh in the Vahki Promo Animation.Rorzakh in set form.Rorzakh in the Vahki Online Animations.

When Toa Metru Whenua and Nuju journeyed below the Archives to find the Onu-Metru, the Rorzakh was searching for the Toa after hearing large amounts of noise caused by the Toa while trying to find the Onu-Metru Great Disk. However, they failed to find the Toa as they had left already.

In the events before the Great Cataclysm, Nuju, Whenua and Onewa were captured by Rorzakh. When they attempted to escape, one of the Rorzakh used its Staff of Presence on Whenua. The Rorzakh were then able to coordinate their movements to trap the renegade Toa in the Dark Hunter Prison.

Dark Hunters of Metru Nui

The Dark Hunters used to hide in Metru Nui and catch the Toa Metru until the island became a barren wasteland and so they made a new base on another island.

Krekka:

Krekka as he appears in Legends of Metru Nui.Krekka squares off against Toa Metru Nokama.Krekka flying.Krekka as a set.

Krekka, Nidhiki, and a third Dark Hunter, Eliminator, were hired by Teridax to eliminate Lhikan’s Toa team. They eventually succeeded in killing off Lhikan’s entire team and then headed into Metru Nui to dispose of Lhikan. They captured him, but not before he created Toa Stones for the Toa Metru. Nidhiki and Krekka followed Vakama, Nokama, and Matau out of the Coliseum.

When they learned the Toa escaped, they followed in hot pursuit, and traveled to Le-Metru to find the three Toa Metru in an Airship in battle with a squad of Vahki Nuurakh, and joined in, Krekka freezing Vakama with a freezing Kanoka disk. After a brief struggle, Vakama teleported Krekka out of the ship with a Kanoka of teleportation, and Nidhiki left the ship in order to search for him.

When they reunited, they found out the three Toa were traveling through use of Chutes, they traveled to a Chute Station at the edge of Le-Metru in order to threaten Kongu, the attendant, into reversing the flow of the Chutes. They succeeded, however the Toa escaped in time. They found the Toa again in an abandoned Po-Metru Assembler Village. The battle that followed was ended by a herd of Kikanalo stampeding. Krekka attempted to climb an abandoned carving to safety, but one of its support beams was snapped by a Kikanalo rampaging past, causing the support beam with him still on it to crush Nidhiki, stunning the two temporarily while the Toa fled yet again. Krekka and Nidhiki found the Toa in the Canyon of Unending Whispers, where Matau used the shapeshifting power of his Kanohi Mahiki to trick Krekka into attacking Nidhiki. When the Toa found the entrance to Lhikan’s prison, the Kikanalo sealed the entry so Krekka and Nidhiki could not follow. During the Great Cataclysm, the two Dark Hunters found the six Toa Metru escaping the Coliseum in a Vahki Transport with six Matoran Spheres on board. The Dark Hunters boarded the craft, and Krekka distracted Matau from driving while Nidhiki tried to attack Lhikan. Onewa used his mask power to get Krekka to grab Nidhiki and jump off the ship. Both Dark Hunters met their end when they were sucked into Teridax’s essence soon afterwards.

Nidhiki:

After many adventures with Krekka, Nidhiki, along with Krekka and Eliminator, returned to Metru Nui to assist Teridax, the Makuta of Metru Nui. Nidhiki convinced the Matoran Ahkmou to betray the Toa Metru and find the Great Disks so the Toa couldn’t defeat the Morbuzakh. Fortunately, Nidhiki did not manage to get hold of the disks. Nidhiki and Krekka ambushed Lhikan in the Great Temple, but he got away. The pair caught up with him after he delivered the Toa Stones to the Toa Metru. Then they attacked him in Vakama’s forge and Nidhiki threatened to kill Vakama. This gave Krekka the opening he needed to defeat Lhikan. Nidhiki and Krekka took him to the Dark Hunter Prison. Then two chased the Toa Metru, and found and soon after battled them onboard an Airship in Le-Metru, Krekka freezing Vakama with a Kanoka and Nidhiki attacking Matau, in an attempt to make him drop Vakama’s frozen body. Nidhiki then proceeded to Nokama, who flung her Hydro Blade at the airship’s support beams, causing them to collapse onto Nidhiki. After Vakama teleported Krekka out of the ship, the Toa left Nidhiki, who decided to find Krekka rather than pursue them. Nidhiki and Krekka made another attempt to capture Nokama, Vakama, and Matau in Po-Metru, but were stopped by a stampede of Kikanalo. Afterwards, Matau used his Mahiki to fool the pair into following each other in the Canyon of Unending Whispers. Later, the two assaulted the Toa Metru’s Vahki transport, but Onewa used his Mask of Mind Control to make Krekka attack Nidhiki. The pair fell off the transport and Nidhiki was absorbed together with Krekka and Nivawk into Teridax’s essence and died.

Bohrok-Kal Unleashed

When the Toa battled and then trapped the Bahrag twins, their captivity awoke the Bohrok-Kal. The Kal are six Bohrok controlled by advanced krana. They have only one mission in life: find the Bahrag, free the Bahrag and unleash the swarms once more. They are driven neither by good or evil, but by duty.

Bohrok-Kal Tahnok-Kal:

No one knows when the Bohrok-Kal first made their appearance above the surface of the island of Mata Nui. Tahnok-Kal was first seen shadowing Takua and Jaller (along with Takua’s pet Ussal, Pewku) as the two journeyed to Ta-Koro following the final showdown and defeat of the Bohrok swarms at Ga-Koro. Arriving home, the pair of Matoran discovered a Ta-Matoran guardsman trapped in a floating cage of electricity, and a strange Bohrok-like creature stealing Tahu Nuva’s Nuva Symbol from his Toa Suva. Tahnok-Kal quickly imprisoned Jaller in an electrical cage and even defeated Tahu Nuva himself, by bringing a stone archway down on him.

After a first victorious battle against the Toa Nuva, Tahnok-Kal was defeated by Onua and Pohatu, who trapped him under a tree. When it’s Krana-Kal was taken, it revealed that the Bohrok-Kal had already discovered the entrance to the Bohrok nest.

Tahnok-Kal and the other Bohrok-Kal eventually found the location of the Bahrag, but they were guarded by the Exo-Toa. After defeating them, they proceeded to the Bahrag’s cage and the Nuva Cube. As they began to place the symbols on the cube, the Krana-Kal turned into a silver color, protecting Tahnok-Kal and the others from harm.

Eventually, Tahnok-Kal was defeated along with the other Bohrok-Kal when the Nuva Symbol fed it more power than it could handle, trapping it in an electric cage formed by its own power shields. Whether it is still imprisoned, or whether its power has run out entirely, no one knows.

Bohrok-Kal Kohrak-Kal:

Kohrak-Kal traveled to Ko-Koro, accompanied by Nuhvok-Kal, who dealt with Matoro while Kohrak-Kal stole Kopaka Nuva’s Nuva Symbol. The other Bohrok-Kal did the same, knowing that the Elemental Power stored in the Symbols could be used to free the Bahrag. The Toa Nuva, who had lost their Elemental Powers due to the theft of the Nuva Symbols, set out to stop the Bohrok-Kal from freeing the Bahrag.

Later, Kohrak-Kal single-handedly defeated Lewa Nuva with what was apparently an object made with sound. Later on that same day, Lehvak-Kal summoned Kohrak-Kal, as well as Gahlok-Kal, to merge into the Bohrok-Kal Kaita Ja. They then defeated Wairuha Nuva, and separated to continue their search for the Bahrag.

Later, the Bohrok-Kal located the cave in which the Bahrag’s prison was. The Nuva Cube to unlocked it was was guarded by six Exo-Toa, resulting in a quick fight in which the Bohrok-Kal destroyed the robots. As they placed the Nuva Symbols on the Nuva Cube, their Krana-Kal transformed into silver variants, protecting them from harm. However, the Toa Nuva were able to tap into the power of their Nuva Symbols and use them to overload the Bohrok-Kal’s powers. This caused Kohrak-Kal’s sonic powers to become so powerful as to shake the Bohrok-Kal apart into nothing more than atoms.

Bohrok-Kal Gahlok-Kal:

As Pohatu Nuva pursued Pahrak-Kal, who had stolen his symbol, Gahlok-Kal used its magnetic shields on the Toa. This left left him stranded in the desert with a group of Mahi magnetized to him. It also helped stop the Toa Nuva from finding their Kanohi Nuva, under instruction from Tahnok-Kal.

When Wairuha Nuva was created, Gahlok-Kal, as well as Kohrak-Kal, was summoned by Lehvak-Kal, and the three merged into the Bohrok-Kal Kaita Ja. Their kaita defeated Wairuha and left the Toa Nuva helpless as Gahlok-Kal and the others continued their hunt to find and free the Bahrag.

After the Bohrok-Kal found out where the Bahrag were hidden, they journeyed there with the symbols, the Toa Nuva following them. Upon arriving, they found the Exo-Toa suits empty and fighting off the Bohrok-Kal. Gahlok-Kal was the one responsible for destroying most of the Exo-Toa armor suits, who were guarding the prison of the Bahrag.

The Bohrok-Kal then placed the Nuva Symbols on the Nuva Cube, and their Krana-Kal turned silver in doing so, protecting them from all harm. However, the Toa Nuva then mentally charged their symbols through their connection with them, and the symbols then enhanced the powers of the Bohrok-Kal. Gahlok-Kal’s magnetic power caused all of the Exo-Toa parts, strewn about the ground, to fly upward and hit it, crushing the Bohrok-Kal.

Bohrok-Kal Levhak-Kal:

Lehvak-Kal was the one who stole Onua Nuva’s symbol, rendering him helpless. It also helped stop the Toa Nuva from finding their Kanohi Nuva, under instruction from Tahnok-Kal.

Later, Gali, Kopaka, and Lewa merged into Wairuha Nuva to combat the Bohrok-Kal. However, Lehvak-Kal called for Gahlok-Kal and Kohrak-Kal to form a Kaita of their own. When the Bohrok-Kal Kaita Ja formed, it attacked and defeated Wairuha Nuva, and then separated back and left the Toa Nuva.

After the Bohrok-Kal discovered where the Bahrag were hidden, they journeyed there with the symbols, the Toa Nuva following them. When Lehvak-Kal and the others got to the caves, they found the Exo-Toa empty, which the Bohrok-Kal destroyed. They then proceeded to place the symbols on the Nuva Cube. To protect itself from harm at that moment, the Krana-Kal turned silver.

However, using a technique of will through their connection to the symbols, the Toa Nuva symbols sent a burst of power through the Bohrok-Kal. Lehvak-Kal’s vacuum power overloaded, shooting it straight upward through the above ground and all the way into low orbit, where it and its Krana-Kal remains to this day.

Bohrok-Kal Pahrak-Kal:

No one knows when the Bohrok-Kal first made their appearance above the surface of the island of Mata Nui. Pahrak-Kal was the one who stole Pohatu Nuva’s symbol, with the help of Gahlok-Kal. Pahrak-Kal was once defeated by Jaller, who grabbed its Krana-Kal from it while it was boasting.

It helped stop the Toa Nuva from finding their Kanohi Nuva, under instruction from Tahnok-Kal. It was Pahrak-Kal who discovered the location of the Bahrag and led the other members of the Bohrok-Kal squad to it. Upon arriving at the cave where the Bahrag were imprisoned, it easily melted through the rock slide covering its entrance. After the Bohrok-Kal found out where the Bahrag were hidden, they journeyed there with the symbols, the Toa Nuva following them. When Pahrak-Kal and the others got to the caves, they found the Exo-Toa suits empty and fighting off the Bohrok-Kal. They then proceeded to place the symbols on the ‘lock’ which was a floating cube with the six symbols engraved upon it. Its Krana-Kal turned silver, protecting it from all harm. It seemed like the Bohrok Swarms would plague the island once again.

However, using a technique of will through their connection to the symbols that Gali Nuva thought up, the Toa Nuva symbols sent a burst of power through the Bohrok-Kal. Pahrak-Kal absorbed the power, causing its Plasma Shields to let off such intense heat that the ground below it melted and it sank into the center of the planet, where it and its Krana-Kal were destroyed.

Bohrok-Kal Nuhvok-Kal:

Nuhvok-Kal in set form.Nuhvok-Kal in the Bohrok-Kal Online Animations.

When the Bahrag were trapped inside the Toa Mata’s Toa Seal, Nuhvok-Kal, along with the other five Bohrok-Kal were awakened to free the Bahrag. Nuhvok-Kal helped Kohrak-Kal steal Kopaka Nuva’s Nuva Symbol, rendering him helpless in a canyon. Later, Tahu and Lewa severely weakened Nuhvok-Kal by enlisting several Le-Matoran to throw things at it from all sides, forcing it to spin around in rapid circles to neutralize all the attacks.

Tahu Nuva tried to use a swarm of Tahnok to attack Nuhvok-Kal, but failed. Nuhvok-Kal used its power over gravity to cause the Tahnok to fly into orbit. Then, it used its powers to increase the gravity on Tahu, leaving him helpless.

The Bohrok-Kal later found the location of the Bahrag, as well as the cube to fit the symbols on, but it was guarded by several Exo-Toa. Nuhvok-Kal helped the others by using his powers to take them down. Then they proceeded to the cube and began to put the symbols together. During that process, the Krana-Kal turned into a silver color, protecting Nuhvok-Kal and the others from outside harm. Nuhvok-Kal was then defeated along with the other Bohrok-Kal when the Nuva Symbol fed it more power than it could handle, causing its gravity power to overload and make a miniature black hole.
